I have been happily teaching dance at My Special School since 2005, and Santa Barbara preschools for 22 years. Creative Movement classes promote literacy, movement and motor skills, and self expression.

My classes provide a cheerful space for a preschooler’s natural love of music, physicality and imagination. The children hear a variety of music, educational songs, catchy tunes, and stories and they also move with many engaging, colorful props.

There is nothing like experiencing the delight in a child’s eyes when he/she has acquired a new skill (balancing or skipping, etc.), is being acknowledged positively for their creative idea or dance move, when their favorite song is being played, or simply when they are being children – living in the moment!

My intention is that my time spent with my students at My Special School is nurturing, supportive and fun…and that we are all kind, playful, and doing our very best as we connect and share the joy of friendship and dance together.
